Service Orders

Who can sign for your business

The person who finds the service isn’t always the person who signs for it.

Who needs to sign?

Someone authorized to commit your business to a service agreement. The provider’s agreement typically includes a contract term, monthly charges, and cancellation terms.

The right person depends on how your business handles supplier contracts. If you’re not sure, ask whoever normally signs contracts for your company.

In practice

At a small business, this is often the owner or a director. At a larger business, it may be someone in IT, facilities, or finance.

The simplest rule is this: the person who normally approves or signs supplier contracts is usually the right person.

What is the signer agreeing to?

The provider’s service agreement. The provider sets the price, contract term, and other conditions — not Telecom.live™.

The person signing should read the agreement in full, especially the contract term and what happens when it ends. See the four things to check.

If you’re not the right person

  • Share the quotes with whoever needs to review them. They’re saved in your account and can be shared.
  • Forward the signature request when it arrives. See the signature request.
  • Make sure they know the contract term and monthly cost before they sign.
