Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy forms part of our Terms of Use.
We are committed to the privacy, confidentiality and security of the information entrusted to us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
Scope
This policy explains how Venture Cloud LLC ("we," "us," "our"), which operates Telecom.live™, handles information collected through telecom.live and its subdomains. It forms part of our Terms of Use.
It does not cover websites we do not operate, including any provider’s site, even where you reach them from a link on ours. Their practices are their own.
Telecom.live™ is a business platform. Most of what we hold is business contact and business location information, and this policy applies to all of it.
What we collect
We may collect the following categories:
- Contact details — name, business email address, phone number, and role where you give it.
- Business details — the business name and information you supply about the business you are ordering for.
- Service address — the address you want service at, which may be commercial or a home address where a business operates.
- Service requirements — service types, speeds, quantities, timing, existing arrangements and any notes you add.
- Order and account records — requests made, pricing shown, orders placed, and correspondence with us.
- Payment status — whether a fee was paid, refunded or failed, and a limited reference from our payment processor. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
- Business address — where the business operates, and the address on its state registration where that differs.
- Business phone — the number for the business, and whether it is a mobile or office line.
- Verification information — information used to confirm identity, business details and eligibility, and to help prevent fraud and misuse. This may include a tax identification number. It is not used for marketing.
- Acceptance records — the date you accepted our terms, the version in effect, and the network address it came from.
- Usage and device information — pages visited, actions taken, IP address and approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, and referring page.
- Session activity — we may use tools that record how pages are used, including interactions such as clicks, scrolling and navigation.
- Communications — email and support correspondence.
Most of this comes directly from you; usage, device and session information is collected automatically when you use the site. Some business-level information may also come from ordinary public and commercial business records.
We do not ask for health information, biometric data or precise geolocation, and it should not be submitted through the Site.
Why we collect it
- To produce pricing and availability for the service address and requirements you provide.
- To place and fulfil your order.
- To operate your account, keep your request history available, and provide support.
- To take payment where a fee applies and to issue refunds.
- To communicate with you about your requests, orders and changes to the service.
- To keep the Site working, secure and reliable, and to understand how it is used so we can improve it.
- To verify the identity of a business or an individual, to keep the Site secure, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To decide, at our discretion, whether to accept an order.
- To promote our services, including advertising on third-party platforms and measuring how it performs.
- To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Who we share it with
Your provider, and the parties involved in processing your order. When you place an order we pass the information needed to fulfil it to your provider and to the affiliates, partners and processors involved in processing it. Once a provider holds your information it handles it under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Companies that help us operate the Site. We use vendors to provide, secure and support the Site and the services on it — including hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, business and identity verification, analytics, session analysis, error monitoring and customer support. THEY ACT ON OUR INSTRUCTIONS, RECEIVE ONLY WHAT THEY NEED FOR THAT WORK, AND ARE BOUND BY CONTRACT TO USE IT ONLY FOR THAT PURPOSE AND NOT FOR THEIR OWN. Engaging a vendor as a service provider in this way is not a sale of your information.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information where we reasonably believe it is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or is necessary to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of our users or the public.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We may also publish aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you or your business.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, keep the site secure, understand how the site is used, and support advertising and measurement.
We work with analytics and advertising partners, including major search, social and professional networking platforms. These partners may set cookies or similar identifiers through our site and may use them to show you our advertising on their platforms and elsewhere, and to measure how that advertising performs. Some of this activity is treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state privacy laws.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies, and the Sites that serve advertising provide their own advertising controls. The site will still work if you refuse cookies, though some features may not. Where the law requires it, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes described here.
How long that is depends on the information and why we hold it: account records for as long as the account is open, transaction and acceptance records for the period required by tax, accounting and contract-limitation rules, and operational records for as long as they remain useful for the purposes described here. When we no longer need information we delete or de-identify it, except where we are required to keep it or need it to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements.
How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls limiting information to those who need it, and reputable infrastructure vendors. Our people and contractors are required to keep information confidential.
NO SYSTEM IS PERFECTLY SECURE AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY. If a breach affecting your information occurs we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law. Keep your account credentials confidential and tell us at the contact address below if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Your choices
You may:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your information and close your account.
- Unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in the message. We will still send messages necessary to your requests, orders and account.
Write to us at the contact address below with enough detail for us to identify you. We may need to verify your identity first, and will not use anything provided for verification for any other purpose.
If you ask us to delete your information we will do so except where we are required or permitted to keep it — for example records of a completed order, or information needed for tax, legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes, or to establish or defend legal claims. Deleting your information means we can no longer provide services that depend on it. Information already passed to a provider on your instruction is held by that provider, and you should contact them directly about it.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these choices.
